My Approach

Gardens and Landscapes should…

Reflect

the taste and needs of its owner

Mirror

and complement the interior space of a building.

Structure

should be simple, stylish and have strong ‘bones’.

The Journey

Whatever the scale and scope of the project, our intention is create a landscape that will stand the test of time, with every garden as unique as its setting.

A first meeting on-site ensures we fully understand the space, exploring and understanding their vision for the garden and how it will connect and sit within its surroundings.

Identify opportunities along with any potential constraints or planning requirements that may need addressing as well as establish desired timescales.

Consideration is given to the need for third party involvement such as specialist suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

Full topographical survey (where necessary) of existing site including landforms, plants, buildings, structures and utilities.

Design

Stage 1

A master plan supported by a visuals package that includes, a 3D model, various views of the proposed new garden, evening shots and a concept lighting design.

Stage 2

A fly through animation of the proposed garden.

Stage 3

2d layout plan

Plant mood boards and specimen plants suggested.

Landscaping.

Quotes are then supplied for the hard and soft landscaping from myself and my professional landscape contractors.

Construction.

I can supervise the design and vision of the garden is upheld during the build phase, planting and styling of the garden on behalf of my clients.

Costing

Advanced procurement of specimen plants.

Review quotations and timescales with client.

Acting in an advisory capacity ensures a perfect collaboration between the garden design team, specialist contractors or consultants.

Sourcing and procurement of plants.

Coordination of build activities, contractors, and suppliers, site visits and progress inspections.

On successful completion and hand-over of the project we are able to provide a garden maintenance schedule for you or your gardener, we are often invited to revisit a garden annually or at more regular intervals in an advisory capacity.
